It is impossible! Here, look - the first reading has zero voltage, while the second goes beyond all tolerable limits, and yet the allod somehow remains intact. The third reading has a negative value! It is im-pos-si-ble! No way. No how. Theoretically.
Equipment looks operational... I think I haven't gone mad yet. Readings were done exactly per instructions. I set all the parameters on the measuring device myself. What if I was given defective equipment, which some paper-pusher approved as operational? When I return home, I'll rip the procurement agents' heads off, encase them in formaldehyde and create an impressionist exhibition entitled "Triumph of Greed Over Common Sense." But that's going to happen later. Right now we will perform our research using old school methods - with materials touched by the Astral. Just for that, I have samples of astral amber, collected in Darkwater. A comparison of parameter deviations of that matter with the local samples should help me solve this mystery.
I will start preparing the necessary equipment right away, and you, if it is not too difficult, should start collecting samples. For research I will need something mineral, i.e. stones or crystals that are strewn about the shore. I will also need various living samples, such as bird beaks, fish bones or turtle shells. In a word, any hard organic material that hasn't been subjected to decay.
I hope that by setting parameters for local astral warping we will understand how to get out of this cursed sector... I truly hope so!
