Wells of Bones

You're here to help me? Heh, volunteers sure haven't been in short supply lately. Both from the League and the Empire, mind you. Very well, let's see where this partnership takes us.

There's always tons of work for a Historian in this place.

Long ago these ruins were a city called "Miktlan," which means "The Land of the Dead" in the June language. And there's a reason for that - during the excavation we've uncovered stone wells full of bones. For the moment we can only guess as to their purpose. I'm especially curious about the rusty chains on the sides. Tell you what, bring me some bone samples from the well to the northwest! Perhaps they hold the key to this mystery.

These heavy chains were clearly intended for very large creatures. But who could the June have been keeping here? That's what I'd like to know! Now where are the bone samples I asked for?

Look at this, one of the bones clearly isn't human. I need only one look to discern that. This clearly belonged to a really strange creature. It's like nothing I've ever seen! Curious, to say the least...
