Our workshop is open for everyone with talent and diligence. There's enough work both for experts and newbies. But you don't think that reading a manual is enough to become equal to renowned masters, do you? Do you seek respect and special privileges of the masters' guild? Then earn them!
There are useful items: impenetrable armor, comfortable boots, sharp blades. And then there are useless things that require enormous craftsmanship. It's a custom here that craftsmen make them when they wish to show off before their peers. Blacksmiths boast of their glass holders, leatherworkers brag about their wallets, tailors exhibit their shawls and weaponsmiths show off their canes. If you can make such an item, bring it to me. That will be your first step to recognition.

Not all hard-to-make things are of any use. However, giving a master a chance to display his art is beneficial in and of itself, right?

Relax... This is tradition: Create a masterpiece at the top of your skill and then destroy it in public as if it were an apprentice's job - that's how you demonstrate your readiness to surpass yourself to your colleagues. You can do it without my help. Create and destroy your creation to remind yourself and others: you are never good enough to stop learning. Craft ever more sophisticated and beautiful things: from an embroidered wallet to an exquisite one, from a tin glass-holder to a gilded one. That's the only way to earn respect of the masters!
