If not for meteorite ore, this Swindler would've been euthanized a long time ago. Not only does he trade with the Empire, but he also dares to put forth heretical theories!

The doctrine of the Church of Light clearly states that the demon invasion was over with when Nezeb and Tensess closed the June Gates. Whatever demons show up here are unorganized vagrants. Therefore, any notion of a "conspiracy" is complete and utter nonsense!

There's been talk of a schism in the Church of Light recently, and it's all because of these demons! I swear that I will do all I can do put an end to it! As punishment for spreading panic and rumors I hereby sentence you to penance! There are demon scouts wandering around nearby - go kill eight of them and repent!

As you can see, my penance proved incredibly useful! These scouts are crawling out of the Astral - looking, sniffing for something! That doesn't mean we should jump to conclusions, though - a dozen demons aren't particularly dangerous.

We must remain faithful and stay calm. We even have a chapel here so you can pray to your heart's content! You know... they say that Tensess himself visited this land. That means it's our sacred duty to cleanse it of demons and the undead!
