Consulting with a Historian

Information

Goal

Show the ancient amulet to Mage Zayan in Avilon.

Introduction

What an extraordinary thing... Just look at this engraving! It doesn't look like Elven craftsmanship... definitely not Zem... and it certainly has nothing in common with Junes! I doubt anyone in our expedition team can explain the origins of this amulet.
Have you been to Avilon? Go there and show the amulet to the Historians. They'll know for sure where it came from.

Completion

Let's see here... You know, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I've never seen anything like this in my life. Are you sure it's not a replica? These days there are many people who like to profit from falsifying history. For instance, we recently had a scandal with "historical finds" on Asee-Teph. The League and the Empire were simultaneously caught red-handed forging finds - there was a huge scandal... So, where did this little trinket come from?

A sealed tomb in an illusory world, eh?... Hmm, perhaps this amulet is also somebody's fantasy? To be honest, it's easier for me to believe in the materialization of dreams - yours, Tep's, the aviaks' - than in an entire culture somehow escaping the Historians' attention, aside from a single lonely artifact.

On the other hand, the Irdrich Allod really did exist, it really was populated by the aviak race, and they really did war with one another. Perhaps the illusory copy of this allod is precise enough to supply historically valuable evidence?

Let's do this. I'll keep the amulet and will try to find out more about it. An entire civilization could not have vanished without a trace. I'll write to you if I learn anything. In the meantime, this beauty will add to my collection of curiosities...
