Obtain 5 components of mosaic map by fighting stone elementals in the mine and repair the mysterious mechanism.

There is an ancient mechanism hiding by the wall. It's not damaged, but it doesn't respond when you pull its lever, kick or curse at it. Its stone sides were once decorated with mosaics. If you wipe off the century-old dust, you can still see tiny smalt slabs which come together in a peculiar picture. It's not a landscape or a portrait, or even an abstract image. It's... a magical symbol! Perhaps the machine will regain functionality if the mosaic is restored?
On the floor underneath the machine there is only garbage, but a closer look at the stone elementals roaming the mine reveals shiny slabs on the chests of some of them. If you take apart five or so, you'll have enough pieces to restore the symbol and try to activate the mechanism.

This is but a strange lever on a mysterious mechanism in an ancient mine, built by a now-extinct race many eons ago. What could go wrong if you press it?

Almost all the slabs have returned to their place. Something roars inside the mechanism, as the mosaic begins to radiate a soft inner light in the twilight. From deep within the bowels of the mine comes an answer, as the crystal resting atop a large stone tablet lights up in return. Could that be a door? What could it be hiding?
