Biggest Mystery of the "Gates"

So this Object - or the Source - lied in the heart of all this construction. You are looking at the "Gates", yes, the ones this complex was built for.
Local scientists thought that the Source was inanimate. Maybe, just a huge source of energy. Well, they were wrong. Whatever it is, it is alive. I am completely confused. The clone dragged me here, praising this creature, and promised to show her "ideal"... But as soon as she left, the Source helped me break loose!
It is definitely conscious. But what does it want? We should ask, I suppose.
