The Nocturnal Incident

Our situation has taken a sudden and unexpected turn for the worse. It began when the Historians refused both Voisvet and Nefer Ur's entry into Tensess Temple.

Befitting of a true empire of evil, the Empire refused to accept the Historians' decision - when nighttime fell, Imperial troops stormed the mercenaries and broke through their ranks. Nefer Ur broke into Tensess Temple! Naturally, Voisvet was forced to follow him lest the Empire seize complete control of the Temple.

Now the Historians want to break off the agreement between us and the Empire. This would lead to an all-out battle for Tensess Temple, something that we cannot allow!

The Empire has been itching for an excuse to do just that! For years they've been dreaming of stripping us of Tensess' Gift. Imagine getting killed tomorrow... only to find out that you'll never be brought back to life! Never!

We must patch up our relationship with the Historians as soon as possible! We need to get their permission to send in a rescue team to retrieve Voisvet. Our ambassador is already waiting by Tensess Temple. Consider yourself at his complete disposal!

Listen, I need your help! We're in a very delicate situation. The Historians have cut off all negotiations! It's probably best to avoid their base for now - their mercenaries are pissed off about the nighttime attack by Imperial forces.

We called in our elite troops, the League Defenders, just in case the Empire tries to exploit the turmoil and capture the Temple. They've shown that they're capable of anything. Our primary objective is to convince the Historians of our innocence!
