Friend-or-Foe

Use the reprogramming device to hack 6 Tep's Mechanoids and report to Yasskul Nash.

While I'm fiddling with the control program, try out this device. I knocked it off when we were planning an escape, but I never gave it to Charles. Now it's gonna help us gain some time.
This is a reprogramming device, it resets the friend-or-foe system in mechanoids so they take friendly units for targets and the other way around. You don't have to understand anything: aim the device, push the button and enjoy gladiator-style battle. While the machines fight each other, they will ignore us.
Be careful, though: I assembled the device from stolen parts using makeshift tools and driven by enthusiasm, so failure is an option.

Well... Uh-huh... What is that "invalid field value"?... Listen, do me a favor, stop hovering over my shoulder. I'll do my part, and you take care of the mechanoids.

It's surely running already: the howling and clanking is heard all over the island. And I'm almost through with the freaking code.
