Eggs for the Council

I understand you are the Imperial Survivor. That's good, because I need to talk to you.

I work for the City Council and they are interested in studying a strange creature that lives on the bottom of the underground reservoir. Superstitious townsfolk gave the beast a gruesome name - they call him "Bottomless Maw".

This is just a simple crocodile that has undergone mutations caused by exposure to the Astral, causing him to increase in size. Those mutations are the only thing that make him so interesting.

The previous pilgrim whom I asked to investigate this beast pulled himself together and snuck into Bottomless Maw's lair. There he found out that the croc is not a he, but a she! And she's expecting offspring - her entire lair is filled with eggs. Those are what the Council is after.

Go to the underground reservoir, find Bottomless Maw's lair, and get those eggs. Then I'll forward them to the Council to be studied. Are you ready to serve your country once again?

You want to know what the Council plans to do with the crocodile eggs? Well, that's none of your business. Your job is to simply carry out their orders.

Wonderful! We've managed to get them just in time - just a little longer and instead of one Bottomless Maw, we would have had an entire army of mutant crocodiles to deal with!
