She’s too proud and loves power. It’s more like it, that something has captured her will, and she doesn’t know what she’s doing.
If we kill a great mage near the seal, the huge blast of energy will release and break the seal. This outcome is quite predictable - and foreseen by the enemy, I am sure. It means, we mustn’t kill Catherina.
