The traces are hard to see, but that's enough to understand that a vicious battle took place here! The sailors and mercenaries stood their ground against the cultists, but they were clearly outnumbered. Interestingly, there are no dead bodies or weapons around.

Looks like the cultists didn't want to kill the Kanians who survived the shipwreck but rather capture them. In which case, they might be alive! Or just one of them, at least...

The cultists' tracks lead towards Tep's Pyramid that looms on the mountain. The prisoners must have been taken there!
