Scientific Practice

There is a positive side in being captured. For example, I have plenty of spare time to analyze the behavior of our soldiers during the savages' raid and find a way to increase our defensive capacity.
Also, I have discovered a new species of bats! I will devote my monograph to it... If I obtain a sample.
I'm afraid that if I try to catch a bat in the ruins, the savages may misinterpret my actions and damage my prosthesis... They've already torn off a couple of wires!
Will you help me? I will mention your name in my research paper. What was it, again?

I can't wait to leave these ruins and get back to the interrupted research.

Brilliant! Look at this unusual metacarpal structure! The second phalange is shifted towards the radius bone... Very interesting. Do you think it would be too arrogant to call the new species with my name?
