Armored Gars

I'm Yaver Tul and I'm conducting research on military applications. And presently I'm in dire need of a hero like you.

I've been told there are massive gars in the Hissing Canyon. Their mandibles look so formidable that I wouldn't risk coming close to them for the all treasures in the Universe!

But you aren't afraid of some ugly bugs, are you?

The point is that the crawlers' mandibles contain a special thick liquid. Incidentally, it's almost an ideal solvent, though that's irrelevant.

The gars' plates are very light, sturdy, flexible, and tough as a sheet of steel! It's a pity I have only a few samples. If I want to perform more serious research, I will obviously need more. I know that if I had more shields, I could invent a brand new type of armor!

Wow! That's really strong! A shield like this is truly priceless!

And the mandibles are full of potent acid. One drop will eat through a breastplate. It's just what I needed!
