His Majesty told me I could ask you for anything... oh, and I do have a lot to ask!
You might have seen lions in the city. They're our domestic animals. They're perfect mounts for any elf! It can take you to your destination and protect you if need be. That's why there are so many of them in the city. Naturally, we need just as many saddles to ride the lions. Saddles wear out over time and need replacement.
Elves come to me for new saddles all the time. Unfortunately, we don't have that many! We're making preparations for a big event, after all. There's no room for leatherworking shops! But we do need saddles. Just a few would solve this problem. Or a part of it, at least.
