Use the Mind Twister to subjugate one of the Soulless on the shore, and return to Lucille de Desirae.

To either confirm or reject my hypothesis, we need something more than just a Spark. We need a living Soulless!
Do you think they are capable of surrendering? Do they know fear? I really doubt that. So we need to trick them.
Look, it's called the Mind Twister. We use on apes in the lab... It suppresses their will, and I think it will work on the Soulless as well.

Just aim it at a Soulless and press the button - they will follow you wherever you will go.

Oh... It's one of our troopers! What is he doing here? Just look in his empty and lifeless eyes... It gives me the creeps.
I tend to believe that a Spark consists of the vital energy and the soul. The soul is instincts, memory, reflexes - everything that constitutes a personality. Without a soul, a Spark is just a clot of energy that moves a body like a puppet. I think we are dealing with a puppet without a soul...
The Architects managed to erase the personality somehow. Ah, that's horrific. Do you realize what it means? A man without a soul does not believe in the Light, and thus cannot be resurrected. This is crazy...
