Primal Manual

One of the rocks was carefully cleaned from moss and dirt. Some pictograms are engraved on it, they look like a primal manual on how to use a sacrificial altar. Looks like Aikho held that ritual but could not come to terms with what he summoned. There is only one solution: repeat the ritual, summon the spirit who punished the shaman and make him dispel his curse.
The pictographic manual is much easier to understand than most manuals for Imperial household magic appliances. These are obviously a big bowl and a fire. That's logical: no sacrifice without fire. This is some animal. Judging by a horn on its nose it must be a rhinoceros. Several small hearts are carved next to it, a dozen and one in number, and a symbolic fire once again. This is unlikely to mean some ardent love of animals but rather the thirteen hearts burned on the altar.
Well, let's make an offering and see who comes running at the smell of burning flesh.

Only fools would awaken a shadow of the past, one fool after another...
