The extent to which primitive myths and legends can preclude and even overtake scientific progress is simply amazing. Did he sing for you the Song of the White Cloud? I could take whole stanzas from there and insert them into my manuscript on the control of immaterial substances. In fact, that's exactly what I'm planning on doing when we return.
So, what did old Aikho tell you? Ah, OK. An atypical ethereal entity, danger level Red. We have encountered these creatures in Lab No...However, you don't need to know that. I can recreate the device that we used to close the breach, but I will need a working body. Crystals... We need astral monocrystals - the kind that hang off allod bottoms like clusters of grape, only smaller. Lucky for us, Junes have left a crystal mine nearby. I've seen samples from there, and those crystals will be perfect for our task. I will need eight of them, one for each cardinal direction. Go get them while I put the device together.

You need to hurry. If that spirit is what I think it is, you're not going to want to meet him without a weapon.

Just beautiful. None of the Imperial mines produce crystals of this size and purity. And neither do the League ones, according to our sources. That's it, the device is ready. But I can't give it to you just yet. It will help you to find the ethereal entity and force it to materialize, but even in that state the spirits of that class are incredibly dangerous. You won't stand a chance in a fair battle. You must find a special weapon. Alas, that is not my area of expertise. Try asking the aviaks for advice. As I've said before, their primitive shamanism sometimes overtakes even the latest scientific discoveries and cutting-edge magic technologies.
